India looks forward to expanding electronics production within two to three years and generating over a million employment opportunities.
According to Minister of State for Electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the Union government wants to expand India’s electronics production capacity to Rs 24 trillion by 2025–26, which will also help generate over a million employment opportunities nationwide.
Speaking at a Bengaluru event, the minister claimed that India is currently experiencing its most thrilling time in history and that the current group of students is the best in independent India’s history.
According to Chandrasekhar, there are over 90,000 early-level companies, including 110 billionaires, in which young Indians play a significant role.
The minister stated that instruction in future-ready skills pertinent to the industry will be provided to at least 1.5m young Indians from Karnataka.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has been planning to expand India’s electronics production under its “Atmanirbhar Bharat” programme and make India a global hub for the industry to attract foreign investment.
