Apart from breaking the ceasefire in Gaza, Israel has been continuing its attacks on Palestinian people in the occupied West Bank. According to recent reports, Israeli attacks on Jenin and Tulkarem continue unabated for the 57th and 52nd consecutive day, respectively. The Israeli atrocities in the occupied West Bank continue to displace Palestinians from their land and persecute them for resisting.

On March 19th, Israeli forces killed two young men—Oday Al-Qatouni and Farouq Khaled—after shooting and wounding them in Al-Ain camp, west of Nablus.

According to the Jenin Camp Media Committee, the Israeli occupation’s aggression against Jenin and its camp continues for the 57th day. As part of Israeli atrocities in the occupied West Bank, the occupation forces continue to destroy roads in the neighbourhoods of the Jenin refuge camp. On Wednesday, March 19th, the Israeli forces have deployed more tanks and bulldozers in the Jenin refugee camp area.

Due to Israeli atrocities in the occupied West Bank, nearly 21,000 Palestinians have been forcibly displaced from the Jenin refugee camp. Over 3,200 homes have been forcibly evacuated by their owners, the media committee informed.

Since the beginning of the current phase of Israeli atrocities in the occupied West Bank, 36 Palestinians have been killed. Among them, two have been killed by Palestinian Authority forces, which have joined hands with the colonial occupation forces.

The Jenin refugee camp’s media committee highlighted that 227 Palestinians have been arrested by the Israeli occupation forces, with dozens subjected to field interrogation and abuse. The US-led collective West has not criticised or condemned the blatant human rights abuse by the Israeli regime in the West Bank.

According to the Jenin refugee camp’s media committee, the Israeli occupation forces have stormed the eastern neighbourhood of Jenin city, taking positions in the German neighbourhood and Wadi Izz El-Din at the dawn of Wednesday.

Israeli occupation forces have also issued evacuation orders for 120 dunams of land in Jalboun town, east of Jenin, in addition to the 70 dunams previously ordered for confiscation in the town of Al-Yamoun and 300 dunams from the village of Al-‘Arqa, which is west of Jenin city.

The zionist occupation forces continue their aggression against Tulkarem city and its refugee camp for the 52nd consecutive day, and for the 39th day against Nour Shams camp, intensifying raids and demolitions while forcibly displacing residents. This comes amid a suffocating siege and increasing military reinforcements.

According to the Tulkarem Media Committee, the Israeli occupation’s large-scale aggression in Tulkarem and its camps has resulted in the killing of 13 people and the displacement of approximately 25,000 residents from both camps—around 12,000 from Tulkarem camp and about 13,000 from Nour Shams camp.

“The occupation forces are carrying out widespread detonations and destruction of infrastructure, preventing municipal and civil defence crews from reopening roads in Tulkarem. Additionally, they have cut off all essential services to both camps, conducted 639 demolitions or destructions of homes and facilities, arrested 221 people, and raided 648 homes,” the report said.

On Wednesday morning, according to the media committee, Israeli forces ordered residents of the Al-Hada’ida and Al-Matar neighbourhoods in Tulkarem camp to evacuate their homes. The Israeli forces also raided homes in the Raba’iya neighbourhood, conducted extensive searches, and subjected residents to interrogations.

“There is a heavy deployment of occupation soldiers in the neighbourhoods of Tulkarem camp, where they are chasing residents, raiding empty homes, and converting several houses into military outposts and sniper positions. Soldiers have also deliberately raided shops, institutions, and mosques, vandalising and looting their contents,” the committee reported.

Reports further say Israeli occupation bulldozers continue demolishing homes and infrastructure in Nour Shams camp, particularly in the Al-Manshiya neighbourhood, while a fuel tanker has arrived at the camp amid a complete siege that prevents any form of entry.

Israeli forces have seized more homes in the Jabal Al-Nasr neighbourhood of the camp and forced several residents in its western outskirts to evacuate. The camp is undergoing daily bulldozing and demolition operations targeting homes, alleys, and infrastructure, leading to its complete devastation and the forced displacement of its residents.

“The occupation is deploying additional military reinforcements, including heavy machinery and bulldozers, towards Tulkarem and its camps. A military bulldozer has closed the road connecting Al-Sikka Street and Nablus Street with dirt barriers,” the report added.

While the world has been shocked by Israel’s attack on Gaza, violating the ceasefire, Israeli atrocities in the occupied West Bank continue against Palestinian people with sheer impunity as the West shows sheer indifference towards the victims.
